Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway offers an amazing experience and a great environmental friendly way to explore the dense canopy of the World Heritage Rainforest.

The Skyrail runs for 7.5kms and takes approx. 90 mins, and takes in some of Northern Queensland's most beautiful natural areas. You will enjoy an intimate experience with the rainforest as you glide about the rainforest canopy, you will also enjoy amazing views of the Coral Sea and Cairns.

At the Red Peak and Barron Falls mid-stations you will be able to explore the tropical rainforest by exploring boardwalks, scenic lookouts and the Rainforest Interpretation Centre.

Recently voted "Australia’s Best Major Tourist Attraction", the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is an amazing experience and a world leader in eco-tourism.

The Skyrail terminal is located approx. 15 minutes north of Cairns and 50 minutes from Port Douglas. The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway operates from 8.15am to 5.15pm 364 days of the year (closed Christmas day).

A great way to enjoy the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Kuranda Scenic Railway is to take the "Kuranda Classic Experience" which includes a one way ticket for the Skyrail and a one way ticket for the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Both activities can also be taken both ways from Cairns to Kuranda and both activities offer transport packages from Cairns, Cairns Northern Beaches and Port Douglas.
